UX/UI Designer, Milkywire: October 2019 - December 2020

Milkywire's mission is to bring charity into the 21st century, and connect experts to the funding they desperately need to save the planet. As a fast-paced, agile start-up close to launch my responsibilities have also broadened to that of a product owner- working with a cross-functional team to drive the creation and execution of features for both mobile (Milkywire app), web along with responding rapidly to user needs. The role also involves new and exciting design challenges from a UX standpoint, as we create a product to be used by experts in jungles, deserts, remote islands, across the globe.

UX Designer, Code and Conspire: March 2019 - October 2019

Working in Code and Conspire's office meant being involved with UI and UX for numerous fast-paced digital products. Other tasks involved facilitating internal and external design sprints, animation tests, web design and wireframes in sketch, copywriting and visual/branding design. We've also ideated strategy for digital campaigns with Läkare i världen and worked closely with New Division on projects involving the United Nations Sustainability goals site.

(Education) Design Lead, Hyper Island : July 2018-2019

The Design lead course at Hyper island facilitated a deeper understanding of Design-Thinking, the UX process and Creative Strategy. We worked with industry leaders and innovators to cement our understanding of the design process and learn the latest skills and tools available.
During this time we learned core processes and methodologies within the fields of UX, Strategy and Service Design. Facilitated and executed workshops, sprints and developed our team leadership and management skills.

Creative Developer/Designer, Bannerboy & Freelance: August 2015 – July 2018

Working as a Creative Front-end Developer I collaborated on a number of digital products and specialised in coding with the animation library GSAP. During my time with Bannerboy as a creative front-end developer I worked with producers to code and design numerous animations for web, point of display and mobile. I also used concept ideation, storyboarding and pre-existing video footage to turn execute and translate design ideas into code.

Digital designer, Stockholm Design Lab: February – August 2015

At Stockholm Design Lab I worked as a Digital Designer on both digital and print projects for Swedish and international clients. Working with teams in Japan on product design and for a Swedish website for Studio Ghibli’s new television series. Day to day tasks involved coding and content for web, final artwork and illustration for packaging and print as well as front-end mock-ups for developers. I eventually began to shift focus towards the coding aspects of the job, working closely with the tech lead.

Junior UX Designer, lrise International: December 2014 – June 2015 (remote)

Working on site in Walakuba, Uganda, I conducted contextual research and designed web and branding materials for lrise and their circular menstrual hygiene initiative 'Easypad'.

Outcomes:
- An effective social media strategy that gained the nonprofit organization crucial funding.
- Over 400 schools in Uganda had cartoons, educational leaflets and posters distributed to them for menstrual hygiene day .
